Youth Voice members speak at Young and Homeless Panel

December 10, 2019

The Homeless Link charity are the national membership charity for organisations working directly with people who become homeless in England. Homeless Link aim to make services better and campaign for policy change that will help end homelessness. As part of their service delivery Homeless Link host an annual #youngandhomeless conference, detailing research findings that has been conducted throughout the year around youth homelessness.

Research conducted for this event is obtained from people with lived experience of homelessness. In 2019, Youth Voice members contributed to the young and homeless report by completing consultations and workshops with Homeless Link’s research team, as a result of this, Youth Voice members were asked to sit on the Young and Homeless Panel to share key recommendations made during Youth Homeless Parliament 2019 as well as answering questions from the audience around experiences of homelessness.

Youth Voice members enjoy engaging in discussion with people working inside and outside of the field, with aim to change the perception of homeless young people as well as share their experiences of good quality or poor service provision.

Thank you to homeless link for allowing us the opportunity to support your research, event and great work.
