Youth Voice New Recruits Training

As part of Youth Voice membership, members are trained over the summer to develop skills, experience and knowledge to support them to complete their roles to the best of their ability.

On 25th July 2018 training took place in Birmingham with 8 new recruits, these young people were supported by older Youth Voice members to devise presentations, complete group work and team building tasks, share their story safely, challenge stereotypes associated with being homeless and much more. All Youth Voice members are offered opportunity to attend conferences, consultations and facilitate workshops with organisations and local and central Government who work with or for homeless young people. Youth Voice summer training offer opportunity for Youth Voice members to develop confidence, prior to facilitating official events, the course is accredited by OCN and offers a level 1 qualification in Communication and Research for all participants, as well as valuable experience and practice.
